Frequently asked questions

The questions we are asked most often. If yours is not here, write to us.

What does a trip like this cost?
We do not publish prices, because there is no single price to publish. The same five days cost very different amounts depending on the property, the season, how many of you there are and how much of the week is guided. Tell us the shape of the trip and we will give you a written quote with the costs laid out rather than a headline figure that falls apart later.
What licences and permits do I need?
It depends on the province, the activity and the season, and the rules change. We will not guess at them here. Once we know where and when you are going, we confirm the current requirements in writing and tell you what we handle and what you have to do yourself — early enough that it is not a problem.
Should I bring my own shotgun?
Most travellers rent. The paperwork and the airline handling are the two steps most likely to go wrong, and a rented gun that fits is better than your own gun stuck in a cargo office. If you want to bring your own, it can be done, and we will tell you exactly what is currently involved before you decide.
When is the best time to come?
It depends entirely on what you want to do. Field shooting in Córdoba, trout in Patagonia and dorado in the littoral all peak at different times, and the good weeks move year to year with the harvest, the snowmelt and the rains. Give us your available dates first and we will tell you honestly what is realistic in them, including when the answer is that you should come at a different time.
What about someone who does not hunt or fish?
We plan their days properly, with the same effort as the field days, and we ask about their interests at the same time as yours. Riding, long lunches, towns, wine, photography, or a deliberately empty afternoon are all real answers. Nobody should spend a week waiting at a lodge.
Córdoba or Patagonia, if I can only do one?
Córdoba if you want the classic Argentine field week and a trip that is easy to attach to Buenos Aires. Patagonia if you want water, distance and a week that is as much about the landscape as the sport. Córdoba is the simpler first trip; Patagonia is the one people tend to come back for.
Can I book through this website?
Not yet. This website is where you tell us what you have in mind; everything after that happens directly with us, in writing. Sending a form does not hold dates, confirm availability or create any obligation on either side.
